CATAMARAN BAY CRUISE – CAPE TOWN

An exciting adventure aboard the luxury catamaran Serenity One: a family-friendly adventure that gives perfect views of Cape Town and its spectacular mountains as you cruise across Table Bay. Nothing beats lounging on a catamaran’s trampoline ahead of the cabin between the hulls – it’s an hour of maritime magic!

This 60-minute ‘Cruise under Sail’ across Table Bay is the perfect way to see Table Mountain and Cape Town’s Atlantic shoreline. Leaving from the V&A Waterfront, the routing is weather dependent; either to Milnerton and back if the south-easter is blowing, or towards Robben Island in north-westerly wind conditions. With either option, you’ll experience the excitement and thrills of sailing in Table Bay aboard one of the beautiful yachts – with chilled refreshments aboard (cash bar, own account) it’s the perfect way to spend an hour.

VARIATION TO CRUISE (DUE TO WEATHER)
For all the vessels, when the seas are running too high or the wind is unpleasantly strong, instead of heading into Table Bay the destination is Cape Town Harbour. This safety feature is a perfect alternative, offering magical views of the harbour, Cape Town, and Table Mountain and in the evening the lights of Cape Town and the harbour. In extreme conditions, the skipper will take every aspect into account, and even stay dockside to ensure the safety of the passengers.

• Enjoy spectacular views of Table Mountain from the Atlantic.

Weather: In the unlikely event that the primary boat for this cruise is unavailable due to unforeseen circumstances, the operator reserves the right to utilize an alternative vessel for this experience. Be assured that the operator will always make every possible effort to ensure that the advertised vessel is available. Some Cruises do not have a dedicated boat for the cruise and rely on a pool of available vessels to cover fluctuations in weather, seasonal passenger numbers, and planned maintenance.

Do take medication beforehand if you have previously experienced motion sickness.

Please make sure that you arrive at the activity location at least 30min before the scheduled cruise departure to collect your boarding pass(es).
Please DO NOT go directly to the boat as the skipper will not allow you onboard without the boarding pass that must be collected at the front office.
