MOHOLOHOLO

Moholoholo Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre located near Hoedspruit is a sanctuary for abandoned, injured, or poisoned wildlife.

Moholoholo is extremely proud of its efforts in wildlife education in South Africa.  Often faced with the difficult decision of what to do with an injured or poisoned animal that will not be able to be released back into the wild. Resulting in a number of “permanent residents” at the centre who act as ambassadors for their respective species.
Among the rescued and rehabilitated animals are lions confiscated from a circus, leopards, wild dogs, cheetahs, poisoned vultures, crowned eagles, and other survivors.

During the tour, you will get an up-close and personal experience of the incredible creatures currently in the centre and witness the caring of wild animals. The Centre’s hands-on approach, reveals the threats and problems our wildlife is facing today. Moholoholo Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre is a non-profit organization – relying completely on the support of the public.
A visit to Moholoholo is an experience of a lifetime and will leave you with lasting memories!
