PRIVATE GAME RESERVE NIGHT SAFARI

Depart in the afternoon from Hazyview for this Night Safari in a private reserve near Kruger. Enjoy sundowners in the bush! 

Measuring 65,000 hectares and situated adjacent to the Kruger National Park, the Sabi Game Reserve is abundant with wildlife. Known for its excellent game viewing, especially leopard, this game drive almost always delivers! The benefit of this game drive is that the safari vehicles are allowed to go off-road and get you as close to the animals as possible. The reserve is exclusive as it does not allow self-drive day visitors and this is one of the few safaris that operates without having to stay at a lodge in the reserve. 

Departing Hazyview in the afternoon around 14h30 (season dependent) to an exclusive Private Game Reserve. At a private lodge in the reserve, you will board the open-top 4×4 game viewing vehicle for your game drive. The game drive duration is approx. 3hours. Stand a chance to spot the famous Big 5 as well as learn about the bush around you. 

Enjoy a sundowner drink and snacks in a clearing in the bush as the daylight begins to fade. After toasting to the setting sun, the safari continues under the spotlight, searching for nocturnal animals. We search for the predators that begin their patrols searching for prey.  Use the spotlight to search for nocturnal animals such as leopards, hyenas, porcupines, and bushbabies, as well as birds such as owls and nightjars during the night safari.

After your night safari, you will return to the lodge for a delicious dinner served in a boma around the campfire. Cash bar available.

After dinner, we will transfer you back to Hazyview around 22h00. Times are subject to change. 

Please note that bookings for this only open approx 1-2months prior. Please email us should you wish to book further in advance so that we can check availability and add you to the waitlist. 

Since the game drive is held at a private lodge in the Sabi Private Game Reserve, bookings are prioritised for the lodge’s in-house overnight guests first.

– Children from 6 years are allowed if accompanied by 2 adults.

Collection/Drop off:

Our pickup points for this night safari include our office at Perry’s Bridge Trading Post & Tourism Centre, Sabi River Sun Resort, Kruger Park Lodge, Hazyview Sun, Hippo Hollow, Numbi Hotel, Sanbonani, Hazyview Cabanas and most lodges in the Hazyview central area. For collection outside of our pickup range, an additional charge may apply. 

An arrangement can be made to collect clients from Skukuza, Phabeni, and Paul Kruger gates on request.
