  • All bookings are subject to availability at the time of confirmation.
  • Bookings can be made via our website, phone/WhatsApp +27 82 574 2345 or by emailing book@tours-tickets.co.za.
  • Quotes are generally valid for a limited period; rates can change if not confirmed and paid in time.
  • A reservation is only confirmed once you have written confirmation and/or a voucher from Tours & Tickets SA.
  • It’s your responsibility to check that names, dates, times and services on your confirmation are correct.
  • Tours & Tickets SA acts as an agent for various operators; each booking is also subject to the operator’s own terms and conditions.
Payment policy and methods

Payment Policy

  • Unless otherwise stated, full prepayment is required before services commence.
  • Payment can be made via secure card payment link or EFT in South African Rands (ZAR).
  • Credit cards: Mastercard and Visa payments are accepted via a secure YOCO link.
  • EFT/Bank Transfers: Available on request. Please note that cash teller or ATM deposits attract a 2% bank charge.
  • For international payments, bank charges and currency conversion costs are for the client’s account.
  • If payment is not received by the specified deadline, services may be released without further notice.
  • Proof of payment must be emailed to our reservations team with your booking reference.
Cancellation policy for FIT and group bookings

All cancellations must be made in writing (email) and are only effective once acknowledged by Tours & Tickets SA.

  • Different products (day tours, safaris, activities, accommodation, packages) may carry their own specific cancellation terms.
  • Individual Bookings (FIT):
    • More than 14 days before activity: 20% cancellation fee
    • 7–13 days before activity: 50% cancellation fee
    • 48 hours or less / No-shows: 100% cancellation fee
  • Group Bookings (8+ people):
    • More than 4 weeks before activity: 50% cancellation fee
    • 15 days or less / No-shows: 100% cancellation fee
  • All cancellations/refunds are subject to a minimum 20% administrative fee.
  • Non-refundable items such as park fees, permits, or third-party charges may still apply even if you cancel within the allowed period.

We strongly recommend taking out comprehensive travel insurance to protect against cancellation costs, medical emergencies, and unexpected changes.

What happens if an operator cancels or alters a service for safety or operational reasons.

If the activity is cancelled by the operator, and approved by them, you may choose to:

  • Reschedule for another day (subject to availability and operator approval).
  • Receive a voucher to the value paid, valid for 6 months and redeemable for an activity in the Tours & Tickets SA portfolio.
  • Request a refund, which will be processed less a 20% admin fee (please allow up to 7 working days).

Important Notes:

  • Each operator may have unique terms – please contact us if you’d like the specific policy for a particular activity.
  • All refunds are subject to a minimum 20% admin fee.
  • No refunds will be issued for no-shows.
  • Tours & Tickets SA cannot accept any liability in respect of a complaint that is not reported to us in writing within 1 week of the client’s experience.

How refunds are handled when approved by Tours & Tickets SA or an operator.

If a refund is approved, please note the following:

  • Processing time: Refunds are processed within 7 working days, less a 20% administrative fee.
  • Payment method: Refunds to South African bank accounts will be made via EFT.
  • Online card payments: For international guests who paid via secure online card transaction, refunds will be processed back to the same card where possible.
  • International transfers: If an international bank transfer is necessary, additional administrative and international banking fees may apply.
  • Please retain your payment receipt and proof of payment, as these may be required to verify your refund.
  • No cash refunds: Tours & Tickets SA cannot process cash refunds. All approved refunds are made electronically for security and record-keeping purposes.
Late arrivals and no-show policy

  • All services run on scheduled times; vehicles, boats and activities cannot always wait.
  • If you arrive late or at the wrong meeting point, your space may be forfeited and 100% no-show fees may apply.
  • It is your responsibility to check pick-up times, gate times and directions carefully before the day of travel.
  • If you are delayed, contact Tours & Tickets SA or the operator as soon as possible; we will assist where we can but alternatives are not guaranteed.
  • No refunds are due for unused services where you failed to arrive on time or chose not to participate.

We strongly recommend that all guests take out suitable travel insurance once they start paying for flights, accommodation, safaris, tours or other non-refundable services.

  • Cover may include cancellation, curtailment, medical emergencies, evacuation, baggage loss and delays.
  • Only your insurer can confirm what is covered; always read your policy wording carefully.
  • Tours & Tickets SA cannot be held liable for losses that could reasonably be insured against.

  • All rates, schedules, and activity descriptions are subject to availability and may change without prior notice.
  • Baggage and personal belongings are carried entirely at the owner’s risk.
  • Tours & Tickets SA is not responsible for delays, amendments, or cancellations caused by third-party operators, weather conditions, force majeure, or any circumstances beyond our control.
  • Verbal quotations are not binding unless confirmed in writing.
  • All tour durations are approximate and may vary due to weather, road conditions, operational requirements, or group size.
  • Tours & Tickets SA reserves the right to terminate any service, without refund, if a guest (adult or child) is intoxicated, disruptive, behaves unsafely, or endangers others, wildlife, or staff.
  • Acceptance of a booking constitutes acceptance of Tours & Tickets SA’s full Terms & Conditions, as well as the individual operator’s policies for the specific activity.
  • By participating in a tour or activity, guests grant Tours & Tickets SA and its approved operators permission to use photographs, video footage, or testimonials captured during the experience for marketing purposes, unless written objection is received prior to the activity. Guests who prefer not to appear in media may inform their guide before the experience begins.
  • Upon receipt of the confirmed booking voucher, Tours & Tickets SA, its suppliers, agents, and subcontractors are indemnified and exempt from liability for loss, damage, injury, delay, or consequential claims, except where caused by proven gross negligence or intentional misconduct.
  • Tours & Tickets SA acts as a booking agent for independent third-party operators. While partners are carefully selected, Tours & Tickets SA does not own or control these operators and cannot be held liable for their acts, omissions, or service delivery.
  • In the event of force majeure (including extreme weather, natural disasters, travel restrictions, or pandemics), Tours & Tickets SA may modify, postpone, or cancel activities. Refer to the Force Majeure & Travel Insurance section for full details.
  • Any dispute, complaint, or claim must be submitted in writing within 7 days of the experience. Late submissions may not be considered. Tours & Tickets SA will make every reasonable effort to resolve matters amicably.
  • These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and all disputes fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of South African courts.

Upon receipt of your confirmed booking voucher, the client acknowledges and agrees that Tours & Tickets SA, including its directors, employees, agents, affiliates, service providers, representatives, and sub-contractors; is indemnified and exempt from liability for any loss, injury, death, damage, delay, accident, or expense (direct or consequential) arising from:

  • Acts or omissions by Tours & Tickets SA or its appointed service providers;
  • Events beyond reasonable control such as adverse weather, natural disasters, strikes, operational decisions, or third-party failures;
  • Client actions or negligence, including failure to follow safety instructions, tour requirements, or operator guidelines.

Client Responsibility

  • Clients must review all booking confirmations and activity vouchers immediately upon receipt to ensure accuracy of dates, times, activity type, participant names, and pickup locations.
  • Any discrepancies or corrections must be reported in writing to Tours & Tickets SA as soon as possible. Sufficient notice is required to request changes.
  • Last-minute amendments may not be possible and may incur standard cancellation or change fees.
Medical conditions and fitness to participate requirements

Clients are required to disclose any medical conditions, physical limitations, or health concerns that may affect their ability to safely participate in an activity at the time of booking.

  • Examples include (but are not limited to): heart conditions, back or neck problems, pregnancy, chronic illnesses, mobility limitations, or recent surgeries.

If a condition is not declared and the operator determines on the day that participation is unsafe, the operator reserves the right to refuse the activity. In such cases:

  • No refund or credit will be issued, as the booking was accepted in good faith based on undeclared information.
  • Tours & Tickets SA and its operators cannot be held liable for any loss, injury, or inability to participate resulting from undisclosed or misrepresented medical information.

Tours & Tickets SA acts solely as a booking agent for independent, third-party operators and cannot be held responsible for any claims, cancellations, or service changes that result from these suppliers’ policies or decisions.

By proceeding with a booking, the client confirms that they are in good health, fit to participate, and fully understand that all activities are undertaken at the client’s own risk.
