HORSEBACK RIDING TRAILS – HARTBEESPOORT

Explore the magnificent Silkaatsnek Nature Reserve on a horse riding safari at Hartbeespoort. Suitable for all skill levels, these horse riding tours offer up-close encounters with diverse wildlife such as giraffes, kudus, zebras, and more. Enjoy a relaxing ride, capturing breathtaking photos along the way. No previous riding experience is necessary. Please note that the rides focus on a safe and enjoyable experience, without trotting or galloping. Bring along some apples or carrots to treat your horse!

Children aged 6 and above are welcome to join. Open Monday to Saturday (closed Sundays).

– 1 Hour Horseback Trail

This is a stunning guided 1 hour wildlife horse riding safari where you will venture out on horseback between wildlife in the reserve in Hartbeespoort.
TIMES: 08h30/ 14h00 / 17h00 (sunset ride on Saturdays only)

– 2 Hour Horseback Trail

Stunning 2 Hour horse riding safari in Hartbeespoort where you will see wildlife up close!
TIME: 08h30/ 11h00

– Sweetheart Surprise

A stunning 2 hour package for couples that includes a horseback safari with a surprise picnic in the bush! Ride out with your sweetheart into a beautiful nature reserve, and view wildlife on the ride. The horseback safari will arrive at a surprise picnic spot after 1 hour. We set up a lovely table with sparkling grape juice, a snack platter, a box of chocolate, plus your choice between 2 x cowboy hats OR a bunch of flowers (please indicate on the notes which free gift you prefer when making the booking online). Enjoy your private picnic for approx 30 mins and then ride back to the base. *If you have specific dietary requirements (vegan/vegetarian etc.), please note that an additional cost will apply. PLEASE NOTE: The ride is in a group but the picnic is private.

– Private Sunset

The Private Sunset Safari is an exclusive package for couples wanting to have some romantic alone time on an adventure! Couples are taken out alone on horseback by a guide on an amazing 2 hour wildlife horseback safari. 1 Hour into the trail the guide stops at a surprise pit stop in nature where a beautiful set up with a bottle of non-alcoholic sparkling grape juice, a box of chocolates, plus a savoury and sweet box per person, and your choice of a free gift bunch of flowers OR 2 x cowboy hats. This is the perfect trail option to celebrate special occasions such as birthdays, anniversaries, engagements, etc.*If you have specific dietary requirements (vegan/vegetarian etc.), please note that an additional cost will apply.

Departure times may change according to season. Please note that no own drinks or food is allowed on the premises. There is a deli onsite, where snacks and cooldrinks can be bought (needs to be paid by card – the operator does not accept cash)

Please note that this operator does not offer Refunds, under any circumstance. In the event of rescheduling, the trail needs to be rescheduled at least 72 hours (3 full days) prior.
No last minute cancellations will be accepted. Latecomers will forfeit their trail and payment. In the event of very stormy weather, hard rain, the booking will be rescheduled. (A 2 month period is given for the client to reschedule their booking in)
