FARM RIDE 30 minutes

An ideal introduction to horse riding for children and adults. Parents may join the ride on a horse or walk with their children on the trail through the farm. Ponies are available for smaller children. The minimum age for a children’s pony ride is 2 years.

BUSH TRAIL  1 hour

Our most popular horse trail in Hazyview! Enjoy a tranquil ramble on well-schooled horses from Horse Whispers through the conservancy area. This is a lovely riding experience for novice and advanced horse riders.

MOUNTAIN & BUSH TRAIL 2 hours

A bush and mountain trail for the more adventurous horse rider who wants to enjoy a longer experience.Explore paths and follow trails through the Lowveld countryside on our 2,000ha concession.

PICNIC RIDE 3 hours

A breathtaking ride along the river and through hills that leads to an idyllic picnic site in a secluded valley. Enjoy a light picnic under the shady canopy provided by the indigenous Matumi trees. Riding approx 2 hours, picnic approx 1 hour.
Light picnic meal included in the rate. Please advise any dietary restrictions as well as beverage preferences.

CROSS COUNTRY TRAIL 2 hours

Currently Not Available – Please consider the 2hour Mountain & Bush Trail instead

This is a challenging 2-hour trail for intermediate and experienced riders only. A fast ride into the mountainous subtropical bush, cantering through spring water and jumping over 30-40cm natural obstacles.

CATTLE DRIVE 2 hours

Round up cattle on the Sandford Farm, where a small number of cattle are located, gathered, and moved to the nearest water source. The cattle are only moved at a walk due to any faster than a walk will run the fat off them, most unwelcomed by any farmer! There is some faster work occasionally to retrieve runaways.
Suitable for intermediate or experienced riders.
