KAYAKING – HOUT BAY

Experience the thrill of kayaking on the sea in Hout Bay, one of Cape Town’s premier adventure activities. Our guided tours, featuring state-of-the-art equipment, promise an unforgettable scenic excursion along the iconic shoreline. Encounter diverse marine life, including seals, penguins, dolphins, whales, and sunfish, as you explore the seal sanctuary and gaze at Chapman’s Peak from the water. Meet at the lHout Bay Harbour for introductions, a brief training session, and an unforgettable kayaking experience. Each kayak accommodates a maximum of two passengers, and solo kayakers are welcome. Please note that water temperatures range from 10°C to 16°C.

Highlights include:

• Kayak alongside an array of marine life, from playful dolphins and majestic whales to adorable penguins.
• Witness breathtaking views of Chapman’s Peak and Hout Bay while kayaking from the ocean.

Duration: approx. 2 hours
Inclusions: All equipment provided.
Exclusions: Transport (you will have to drive to the meeting place yourself), Meals & Drinks, and Items of personal nature. 

Max weight per passenger: 120kg (264,5 lbs/18.9 stone)

Age restriction: Min age is 10 yrs old (10 – 17 yrs should accompanied by an adult)

Dress Code: Casual – Beach. Bring jacket or warm top. Clothes might get wet. Bring your swimwear and a towel.

The trip is weather dependent. Weather is assessed on the day as activity cannot be performed in dangerous or bad weather.
