What’s the difference between GOLD and Spyced?

GOLD Restaurant focuses on pan-African cuisine with a 14-dish feast and live performances, while Spyced specializes in Cape Malay–inspired food with either a cooking class or dinner with jazz.

Do I need to book in advance?

Yes. Both restaurants require advance reservations to confirm space.

Is the drumming session at GOLD included?

No, the drumming session is optional and carries an additional cost.

Do I need cooking experience for the Spyced class?

Not at all. The class is guided by Fayruza Abrahams and is suitable for beginners and food enthusiasts alike.

How long do the evenings last?

Expect ±3 hours for GOLD Dinner and ±3–4 hours for Spyced Dinner with Jazz. Cooking classes run about 3 hours including the meal.

Are vegetarian or dietary needs catered for?

Yes. Please let us know in advance about any dietary requirements.

Is transport included?

Transport is not included but can be arranged from Cape Town hotels at an additional cost.
