The Big Swing

One of the world’s highest cable gorge swings, the Big Swing launches you from a platform next to a waterfall into a 70-metre freefall. In just 3 seconds, you can reach speeds of up to 140 km/h before swinging out over the gorge.Unlike bungee jumping, this swing offers a smooth arc after the drop, giving you more time to enjoy the views.
After your jump, either:

• Take the Gorge Lift back to the top (operational dependent), or
• Walk through lush forest and climb the 442 steps back up, passing indigenous plants, birdlife, and even old car wrecks hidden in the gorge.

Minimum Age: 12 years
Maximum Weight: 135 kg

The Zipline

For a more relaxed but still exhilarating option, the Graskop Gorge Zipline takes you 130 metres above the ground. Zip 120 metres across the gorge, walk along a scenic platform with spectacular views of the falls and forest, and then zip back again. In the rainy season, enjoy the full power of the Graskop Falls below you.

Minimum Age: 7 years
Maximum Weight: 120 kg

Duration: Approx. 30–45 minutes (including safety briefing, setup, and return from the gorge).
Inclusions: Full safety gear, and the Big Swing Jump has access to the viewing lift.
Exclusions: Entry fee to Graskop Gorge Lift Company. Items of personal nature.

• Children (4–16 years): R35 per person per day
• Children under 4: Free

Is the zipline scary?

It depends on your comfort with heights – many find it exciting rather than scary. The views are spectacular, and the experience is safe and guided.

How do you get back up after the Big Swing?

After your jump, you can either take the Gorge Lift back to the top (operational dependent) or climb 442 steps through a scenic forest trail.

How long does the Big Swing & Zipline experience take?

The Big Swing itself takes around 20-30 minutes including briefing and gearing up. The Zipline takes around 10–15 minutes. Combined, the experience is usually 1–1.5 hours depending on group size.
