Important Information

  • A minimum of 2 guests is required for this combo
  • Activities are suitable for beginners — no prior experience required
  • Children 14 years and older may ride a quad bike alone; younger children will go as passengers
  • Meal voucher valid until 16:00; restaurant closes at 17:00
  • Rafting runs all year round in Hazyview.
    • Rainy Season (October – April): Expect higher water levels, faster rapids, and an adrenaline-filled ride. Rain usually falls in short bursts, often on hot days (over 30°C almost year-round), so tours still go out. This is the best time if you’re looking for an adrenaline-pumping and fun experience.
    • Dry Season (May – September): Water levels are lower, and some rocks may be exposed, but the trip is still lots of fun and suitable for all ages. It’s a slightly gentler adventure, perfect for those who prefer a calmer pace.
  • Minimum age to join is 5 years old*. Children under 12 years must be accompanied by 2 adults.
  • *Child Policy: Rafting is suitable for both adults and children. However, depending on water levels during the rainy season, the minimum age may be increased for safety reasons. Please provide your child’s age at the time of booking so we can confirm if participation is suitable.

Do I need prior experience for the quad biking or rafting?

No – both activities are beginner-friendly. The guides will provide a safety briefing and instructions before each activity.

What should I wear for the activities?

Wear comfortable clothing, closed shoes, and bring swimwear or clothes you don’t mind getting wet for rafting. A change of dry clothes and a towel are recommended.

Are there weight or height limits?

There are no strict height limits, but participants must be able to fit the safety gear comfortably. For safety, the maximum weight for quad biking is generally 120 kg.

What happens if the weather is bad?

In the case of heavy rain or unsafe conditions, activities may be rescheduled if the operator authorises it. Light rain usually does not stop the activities.

Can I bring my camera or phone on the activities?

Yes, but it’s at your own risk. For rafting, it’s best to bring waterproof protection or use an action camera with a secure mount.

How much is the meal voucher worth?

The meal voucher is worth R180 per person*, which can be used at the Adventure Centre’s restaurant for breakfast, lunch, or a snack. *subject to change

Is this adventure package suitable for families?

Yes – it’s great for families with children (around 8 years and up). Quad biking is suitable for beginners, and kids love the rafting. However, it’s not recommended for very young children or anyone who may have difficulty with physical coordination.

How physically demanding is the quad biking?

The 1-hour trail is not overly demanding – the quad does most of the work. You’ll need basic coordination to steer, especially on uneven terrain, but it’s designed for beginners and is more fun than tiring.
