This calm, immersive experience connects you to the rhythms of the river and the wild beauty of Addo.

After your river adventure, shift gears for some off-road fun with a 1-hour Quad Bike Trail. Explore Addo’s diverse terrain from lush bushveld and winding citrus orchards to sandy trails beside the Sundays River. Our qualified guides ensure safety while giving you the freedom to enjoy the ride. Children under 16 may ride tandem with a parent or guide, making this activity perfect for families.

Duration:  ± 3.5 hours (River Safari 2.5 hours + Quad Bike Trail 1 hour)
Inclusions:Bottled water, Drinks & Snacks, Waterproof Buckets, Life jackets,  and all safety equipment.
Exclusions: Transfers, Gratuity, and Items of a Personal Nature.

Important Information

  • Minimum Age: 16 years to drive a quad; children 5 – 15 years ride tandem
  • Weight Limit: 125 kg on eco-bikes
  • Transfers: No transfers included, you will need to self-drive to the operator’s meeting point in Addo, near Port Elizabeth /Gqeberha
  • Strict no-alcohol policy applies before and during the quad biking tour.
  • Please arrive 15 minutes before departure for your safety briefing.
  • Wear: Comfortable clothes you don’t mind getting dusty, closed shoes, hat, and sunglasses.
  • Gratuity Policy: Tipping is not compulsory, but if your guide or ranger made your day special, gratuities are warmly appreciated. Please note: cash tips only, as credit card facilities cannot process gratuities.
  • Operates daily, weather permitting. Morning departures recommended for calm river conditions.
  • This activity’s cancellation terms differ from standard Tours & Tickets SA policies.

Do I need prior experience for the river safari or quad biking?

No, both are beginner-friendly. Guides provide full instruction before you start.

Can children join?

Yes. Children under 16 can ride tandem with a parent or guide.

Is this a private tour?

Group tours are standard, but private tours can be arranged on request.

Are transfers included?

No, but return transfers from the Addo area can be arranged for an additional fee.
