TUBING / GECKOING – SABIE

Get face-to-face with the rapids of the Sabie River on this unique tubing experience! This awesome tubing activity with the raging rapids is the best way to go down the Sabie River. We call it Geckoing or Tubing. A Gecko is a one-man inflatable, solid floor, raft-tube with handles. You sit in the ‘Gecko’ and paddle with your hands, and when you get to the rapids just hold on! 

We drive you with 4×4 vehicles deep into the forest. Our operator is the only one using this stretch of the river and is proud to have the biggest and longest Geckoing rapids on the Sabie River. It has a steep gradient, so we don’t need much rain, as the rapids are always big. We do 3 kilometers down grade III rapids. There is an optional 8m cliff jump you can do on the route.

You must be able to swim. Minimum age: 12 years.

• Float down the Sabie River on a Gecko tube.

Duration: Approx 4-5 hours
Inclusions:  Gecko Tube and equipment with a professional guide.
Exclusions: Items of personal nature.
