HORSE RIDING TRAIL – PLETTENBERG BAY

Experience a horse trail near Plettenberg Bay at the Boschrivier Farm. Riders can enjoy stunning views of the picturesque Tsitsikamma mountains and excellent birdwatching opportunities while traversing open fields, forests, and crossing rivers, with the option to trot and canter for those confident and competent. The well-trained trail horses cater to riders of all levels, from beginners to experienced, aged 12 and up.

Led by the qualified and highly experienced horse trail guide and horse trainer, Nicky, Boschrivier Farm ensures a safe and enjoyable experience for all riders, with outrides accommodating 1 to 5 riders and duration options of 1 hour and 1.5 hours.

Maximum weight: 98kg. Please send us your weights and riding experience when making a booking. 

MOUNTAIN AND FOREST RIDE – 1 hour

This 1-hour horse trail is great for those looking for a gentle introduction to horse riding but enjoyed by riders of all levels. Meander along the mountainside, through the indigenous forest, and across the farmlands.

Highlights include:

•  Horse trail through the forest and farmlands near Plettenberg Bay.

Duration: 1 hour
Inclusions: Guided horse trail. Riding hats are compulsory and are provided.
Exclusions: Excludes refreshments.
All riders are advised to wear long trousers and closed shoes are compulsory.

Meander along the mountainside, through the indigenous forest, and across the farmlands with well trained horses and experienced guides.

• Horse trail through the forest and farmlands near Plettenberg Bay.

Duration: 2 hours
Inclusions: Guided horse trail. Riding hats are compulsory and are provided.
Exclusions: Excludes refreshments.
All riders are advised to wear long trousers and closed shoes are compulsory.

• Please be at the stables at least 15 minutes before your riding time as we leave promptly at the allocated time. If you are late the ride will still return at the scheduled time and will be cut short.
• Ages 12 years and older can ride on their own, depending on their riding skills and comfort.
