SHARK CAGE DIVING – CAPE TOWN / SIMONS TOWN

Join an exhilarating half-day shark cage diving tour in Cape Town, showcasing a diverse range of shark species year-round (weather dependent).

Led by seasoned experts, embark on an adventure to spot majestic predators like the bronze whaler shark and seven-gill shark, alongside captivating marine wildlife such as whales, dolphins, and seabirds.

As every trip is unique and based on natural events, sightings cannot be guaranteed. The departure point, Simon’s Town, conveniently lies just 45-55 minutes from Cape Town city center, 15 minutes from the Cape of Good Hope, and a mere 2 minutes from Boulders Beach Penguin Colony.

Duration: approx. 3hours. The tour time is subject to shark activity and weather conditions.
Inclusions: Tea/Coffee, Dive gear including mask, snorkel, weight belt, wet suit, educational booklet, light lunch.
Exclusions: Transport (Additional R850 per person to/from Cape Town City*), and Items of a personal nature.

Trip Information:

• Each trip includes dive gear (ranging from sizes S to 6XL), tea/coffee/biscuits upon arrival, light lunch, snacks, and refreshments onboard.
• Departure times vary between morning and midday trips, with durations of approximately 3 hours, subject to shark activity and weather conditions.
• Exact departure times will be communicated via email the day before the trip and are subject to change.

Child Policy:
Children must be 8 years or older to board the boat and 10 years or older to participate in cage diving.
Due to the nature of the experience, we recommend considering the potential for seasickness, especially for younger participants.

PLANES & TRAINS DON’T WAIT ~ NOR DO BOATS!! ~ Any guests not on time will regrettably be left behind. NO REFUNDS UNFORTUNATELY WILL BE MADE FOR guests who are late.

Your reservation will be automatically cancelled if you do not arrive 30 minutes prior to departure time. Please call/WhatsApp us if you are running late, arrival time is strictly 30 minutes before your reserved departure time. 

What to Bring

• Weather appropriate clothing- windbreaker jacket, it is always a little colder at sea than it is on land.
• Bathing costume (worn under clothes)
• Sensible shoes, and flat shoes are best (No high heel shoes).
• Sun block; sunglasses & cap or hat for hot days & gloves and ‘beanie’ for the cold days.
• Camera
• If you are prone to motion sickness it is best to purchase and take sea sick or motion sickness prevention tablets. Get these in advance as per instructions on the packet. There is no medication available from the operator. We strongly advise that those who feel they might suffer from seasickness should not consume too much alcohol the evening prior and avoid extremely fatty breakfasts.

Weather – Sea Permitting

The tour may be canceled with short notice if the weather/sea is unsuitable for the tour experience. Please call or whatsapp us to check on Trip status, especially if guests are traveling from out of town for the tour. Please ensure the contact details you provide are correct so that we can contact you if the tour is canceled.
In the event of the tour being canceled due to weather/sea conditions, the guests will have the option to reschedule their tour to the next available date.
