Embark on a scenic Hazyview hiking trail starting at the confluence of the Sabaan, Sabie, and Mac-Mac rivers. This guided 14 km route meanders along the banks of the Mac-Mac River and through lush forest at the foot of the Panorama Route. Along the way, enjoy shaded riverbanks, rich vegetation, and an abundance of birdlife, trees, and fish species.

At the halfway mark, cross a bridge to the Matumi picnic site where you can relax, refuel, or take a refreshing swim — so remember your costume! This easy-to-moderate walk is ideal for nature lovers and families seeking a memorable day outdoors.

What should I bring?

Bring comfortable walking shoes, your own snacks, sun protection, swimwear if you’d like to swim at the picnic site, and a camera for the scenery.

Do I need a minimum group size?

Yes. A minimum of 4 participants is required. If you’re fewer, you can ask to join an existing group.
