ELEPHANT INTERACTION

Experience the thrill of being close to these magnificent rescued elephants. Witness their intelligence, compassionate nature, and the deep bonds they share with their human family. Elephant Handlers will share their wealth of knowledge about fascinating elephant behaviour. Enjoy a wonderful hour of touching and feeding the elephants. Experience the remarkable trust that has developed through gentle interaction during this elephant experience at Elephant Whispers in Hazyview.

Children of all ages are welcome (under adult supervision) for the Elephant Interactions.

INTERACTION AND WALK WITH THE ELEPHANT 

Times: 09h00, 12h00
Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes

After a wonderful hour of interacting with the elephants at Elephant Whispers, enjoy a stroll through the bush with these gentle giants.

The minimum age for walking with elephants is 6 years. Children walking must be accompanied by a parent/guardian, and this will be at the discretion of management.

• Walk next to the elephants

INTERACTION AND ELEPHANT RIDE 

Times: 09h00, 12h00, 16h00
Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes

Following the Elephant Interaction experience in Hazyview, once you are comfortable, head out for a short elephant back ride.
Professional elephant handlers will help you get onto the elephant’s back for a ride through the bush to see the world from their point of view. You’ll be able to get off at any time and walk during your elephant experience.

The minimum age for riding elephants is 5 years. Children riding the elephants must be accompanied by a parent/guardian, and this will be at the discretion of management.

SUNSET INTERACTION, ELEPHANT WALK/RIDE, AND SUNDOWNERS 

Times: 16h00
Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes

Includes the Elephant Interaction program at Elephant Whispers in Hazyview. Enjoy the amble with the elephants back to their stables and walk with them, or saddle up and enjoy the view from high above the trees. Become a welcome and privileged member of the Elephant group while they peacefully carry out their evening routine. Complete a magical experience with a sundowner drink while listening to the sounds of the elephants settling to sleep.

ULTIMATE ELEPHANT EXPERIENCE 

Times: 12h00
Duration: 2 hours

On arrival at Elephant Whispers in Hazyview,  the elephants will extend you a warm welcome. Interact with these amazing creatures and learn about their important role as wildlife ambassadors for the African Elephant. Set off into the African bush for a midday elephant ramble with great photographic opportunities of the elephants in the bush and interacting with their Handlers.  Watch the elephants cavorting in the dam, and enjoy their mud bath. Enjoy a glass of sparkling wine and your delicious meal in a peaceful setting.

HALF-DAY WITH THE ELEPHANT

Times: 07h00 – 13h30
Duration: Half-day

Your morning with the rescued elephants start with Tembo, Shamwari, Ziziphus, Lindiwe, and Andile ambling down the pathway in the morning light to meet you. After introductions and offering elephant cubes, enjoy the privilege of helping brush the elephants. A wonderful activity and a great treat for the elephants. Experience morning exercises and learn how to gently interact with the elephants. Witness the unique relationship the Elephant Handlers enjoy with each elephant.

Join the elephants for a typical elephant ramble; meandering down shady paths and enjoying regular stops for elephant breakfast feasting.
After hot beverages and fresh muffins on the deck overlooking the Sabie valley, join in the elephant activities until midday. End your elephant morning (weather permitting during the warmer summer months) with a picnic lunch at the deck while the elephants enjoy their swim in the dam.

Highlights include:

• Meet the elephants as they come out of their stables to greet the new day in the early morning light.
• Join the Elephant Whispers’ herd for a unique elephant experience as they go about their daily activities.
• Watch the elephants swim and roll around in the mud.
• Picnic (weather permitting)
