This is not your average round of golf. The Golf Safari Combo from Hazyview combines a private Kruger National Park game drive with a round at the legendary Skukuza Golf Club, a 9-hole course set inside the Kruger National Park.

Your day begins with an early morning collection in Hazyview before entering the Kruger National Park in a private open safari vehicle. Your professional guide will share local bush knowledge, animal behaviour insights, and help you make the most of your wildlife-viewing opportunities on the way to Skukuza.

Where golf meets the wild

Skukuza Golf Club is unfenced, which means wildlife can move freely through the area. You may spot animals and birds while enjoying your round, making this a truly memorable experience for golfers, safari lovers, and adventurous travellers.

After your round of golf, enjoy lunch at the Skukuza Golf Club Restaurant for your own account. You will then continue your safari through the Kruger National Park before returning to Hazyview in the afternoon.

Important: Minimum 2 guests and maximum 6 guests per vehicle. This allows enough space for golf clubs and personal items. Green fees are non-refundable. Golf carts and equipment rental must be requested in advance and are subject to availability.

Collection & Drop-off

Collection is available from selected Hazyview pickup points, including our office at Perry’s Bridge Trading Post & Tourism Centre, Sabi River Sun Resort, Kruger Park Lodge, Hazyview Sun, Hippo Hollow, Numbi Hotel, and most lodges in the central Hazyview area.

Collection from Skukuza, Phabeni Gate, or Kruger Gate may be possible on request and must be arranged in advance.

Collection is usually between 05:00 and 05:30, depending on the season, with return to Hazyview at approximately 15:00.

Wildlife & safety note: This activity is at your own risk. Skukuza Golf Club is located inside the Kruger National Park and is not fenced, which means wild animals may move through the area. Wildlife cannot be controlled. Guests will be required to sign an indemnity form on arrival.

Do I need to bring golf clubs?

You are welcome to bring your own golf clubs, or you can request equipment rental in advance at an additional cost. Equipment rental is subject to availability and must be arranged before the day of travel.

What happens during the Golf Safari Combo?

Your day begins with an early morning Kruger National Park safari from Hazyview in a private open safari vehicle. After a short game drive, you will check in at Skukuza Golf Club for a 9-hole round of golf. After golf, you can enjoy lunch at Skukuza for your own account before continuing with the safari and returning to Hazyview in the afternoon.

Is the safari private?

Yes, the safari vehicle is private for your group and includes a professional guide. The round of golf may include or be near other players at Skukuza Golf Club, depending on the day’s bookings.

Are Kruger National Park entry fees included?

No, Kruger National Park entry/conservation fees are not included and are payable separately. South African guests should bring a valid SA ID or a clear copy to qualify for local conservation rates.

Can children join this activity?

Junior golfers may join if accompanied by at least 2 adults. Please send us the child’s age when enquiring so we can confirm suitability and any additional requirements.
