Enjoy a guided Private Game Reserve Mid Morning Safari in the exclusive Sabi Game Reserve, part of the Greater Kruger and Sabi Sand region. This three-hour safari is ideal for guests who prefer a later start or who have afternoon and evening plans.
Travel through the reserve in an open safari vehicle with experienced and knowledgeable rangers. The area is well known for excellent wildlife-viewing opportunities, including leopard and other members of the Big Five, although wildlife sightings can never be guaranteed.
Light snacks and refreshments are served during the drive, giving guests time to pause and enjoy the atmosphere of the African bush.
Wildlife sightings cannot be guaranteed. The route may change depending on animal movements, weather, road conditions, and operational requirements.

Important Information
- Advance Booking: Availability opens one month before the requested safari date. Advance booking is essential, and all bookings remain subject to availability.
- Minimum Guests: A minimum of 6 guests is required for a scheduled departure. Groups of fewer than 6 guests must book the private vehicle option, with the applicable per-person charges also applying.
- Children: The minimum participation age is 5 years. Children aged 12 years and older are classified as adults. Children under 12 must be accompanied by 2 adults.
- Self-Drive: Guests must drive themselves to Shaw’s Gate. Transfers may be arranged on request at an additional cost and are subject to availability.
- Gate Arrival: Guests must be at Shaws Gate by no later than 09h00. The lodge is approximately a 25-minute drive from the gate, and the safari departs promptly at 10h00.
- Late Arrival: Late arrival may result in the safari being missed. No refund will apply where guests arrive too late to join the scheduled departure.
- Gate Entry: The reserve entry fee is excluded and must be paid directly at Shaws Gate by card. Cash is not accepted.
- What to Wear: Wear comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing and bring a lightweight jacket, as open safari vehicles can be chilly.
- What to Bring: Bring a valid ID or passport, camera, sunscreen, hat, and a lightweight jacket.
- Food and Drinks: Light snacks and refreshments, including soft drinks, coffee, and water, are included. Full meals are not included.
- Weather: The safari operates in most weather conditions. If the operator determines that conditions are unsafe, Tours & Tickets SA will assist with rescheduling.
- Cancellation: A 100% cancellation policy applies. Payments are non-refundable once the booking has been confirmed.
