Hoedspruit Endangered Species Centre offers an informative look into rare, vulnerable, and endangered animal species and wider conservation efforts. The two-hour guided tour includes an overview of conservation programs and the species in their care, preceded by an informative video.

Moholoholo Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre near Hoedspruit is a sanctuary for abandoned, injured, or poisoned wildlife. Residents may include lions confiscated from a circus, leopards, wild dogs, cheetahs, poisoned vultures, crowned eagles, and more.

During the tour, you’ll get an up-close experience of the animals currently in the centre and learn about their rehabilitation.

Perry’s Bridge Reptile Park in Hazyview is home to over 50 species of reptiles including snakes, crocodiles, tortoises and lizards, plus educational shows with feedings. Enclosures are designed to mimic natural environments for better animal welfare and viewing.

Crocodile feeding: 2pm on Sundays during warmer months (weather dependent — cannot guarantee feeding).
