Experience the magic of the Kruger National Park on a half-day (morning or afternoon) safari, departing from Hazyview. Choose between a morning safari, when the bush is alive with grazing animals and early predators, or an afternoon safari, when nocturnal species begin to stir.

Your safari is guided in an open 4×4 vehicle designed for excellent game viewing. With a professional, knowledgeable guide, you’ll gain insights into the bush and its wildlife, including the legendary Big 5. Stops are made at Kruger rest camps, where you can enjoy a meal or refreshments (for your own account). Families with children under 6 must book a private vehicle.

Safari Options:

Morning Safari: Approx. 6–7 hours, including transfer, gate time, and breakfast stop. Collection 05:00–05:30 AM, returning around 11:00 AM.
Afternoon Safari: Approx. 5–6 hours, including transfer, gate time, and refreshment stop. Collection 1:00–2:00 PM, returning around 6:00 PM.

Important Information

Minimum / Maximum: 2 guests minimum for scheduled safaris (1 for private safaris). Maximum 10 guests per vehicle.
Children: Infants and children each count as individual seats. For safety reasons, they may not sit on laps to “save space,” and the vehicle’s maximum capacity cannot be exceeded.
Safaris operate in all weather conditions, so bring a jacket or rain poncho if needed.
Kruger Park Entry Fees are not included in the rate. Fees are payable directly to SANParks at the gate. Please note Kruger is a cashless facility – only debit or credit cards or Wild Cards are accepted.
Families with children under 6 years must book a private vehicle. Children under 12 years must be accompanied by at least 2 adults.

For collection outside of our pickup range, an additional charge may apply. An arrangement can be made to collect clients from Skukuza, Phabeni Gate, and Kruger Gate for the game drives on request.

What makes a half day safari special?

Half day safaris give you the prime wildlife viewing hours when the bush is most alive: Morning Safaris - The early light reveals animals grazing in the cool air and gathering at waterholes. Predators often linger from their night hunts, and nocturnal species can still be active before they retreat for the day. Afternoon safaris - As the heat fades, animals emerge from the shade to feed and drink. This is a key time to spot predators on the move and nocturnal species beginning their evening activity, just before sunset paints the park in golden hues.

Can I book a private vehicle?

Yes, private safari vehicles are available on request. They are compulsory for families with children under 6 years old and ideal for families or groups who want a personalised experience.
