This shorter safari is ideal for guests staying in Hoedspruit or nearby lodges who want to experience the park without committing to a full-day tour. Morning drives capture the magic of the African sunrise, while afternoon safaris offer the chance to see predators as they become active before dusk. Each half-day Kruger tour includes convenient pick-up and drop-off at specific locations, and the expert commentary of your field guide. Ensuring a safe, enriching, and unforgettable safari experience.

This half-day safari runs approximately 6 hours, including ±1 hour travel time each way to and from the park gates.

The pickup points for this Kruger Park safari include Radisson Hotel Safari Hoedspruit and Hoedspruit Wildlife Estate. For collection outside of the pickup range, an additional charge may apply. An arrangement can be made to collect clients from other gates or reserves on request.

Can I choose my departure time?

Yes. You can select between the Morning Safari (05:30–12:00) or the Afternoon Safari (12:00–16:30) when booking.

Are children allowed on the safari?

Yes, but children under 7 years old must be on a private vehicle booking for safety reasons.

Will we stop for food?

No formal lunch stop is included, but short rest breaks are scheduled at safe picnic sites or rest camps.

What kind of animals will we see?

The Kruger Park is home to the Big Five, cheetah, giraffe, zebra, hippo, crocodile, and over 500 species of birds. Each safari offers something different depending on the time of day and season.
