Embark on an unforgettable full-day adventure in the world-famous Kruger National Park, one of Africa’s largest and most celebrated game reserves. Led by an experienced, qualified ranger, you’ll travel in a comfortable open 4×4 safari vehicle, designed for optimal game viewing and photography. Departing early from the Hoedspruit area, your guide will take you through one of two scenic routes, Orpen Gate to Satara Camp or Phalaborwa Gate to Letaba Camp, each offering incredible wildlife encounters and unique landscapes.

Expect to see a wide variety of animals, from the Big Five (lion, leopard, rhino, elephant, and buffalo) to giraffe, zebra, hippo, crocodile, and countless species of antelope and birdlife. With your ranger’s expert bush knowledge, you’ll gain fascinating insight into animal behavior, ecology, and the rhythms of the African wilderness. Stop midday for a relaxing lunch (for own account) at a Kruger camp, either Satara or Letaba, where you can stretch your legs, browse the curio shop, or simply enjoy a meal under the trees overlooking the plains or river.

This full-day safari runs approximately 11 hours, including ±1 hour travel time each way to and from the park gates. The day promises thrilling sightings, captivating landscapes, and lasting memories of Africa’s wild heart.

Important Information

Private Vehicles: Required for families with children under 7 years
What to Bring: ID/passport for entry, light jacket, hat, sunscreen, camera, and closed shoes.
Minimum Age: Children 7 & under require a private vehicle.
This activity goes out in all weather.
Please note that children under 12 years must be accompanied by 2 adults.

Collection/Drop off:

The pickup points for this Kruger Park safari include Radisson Hotel Safari Hoedspruit and Hoedspruit Wildlife Estate. For collection outside of the pickup range, an additional charge may apply. An arrangement can be made to collect clients from other gates or reserves on request.

Do I need to pay the park entrance fee in advance?

No, Kruger National Park entry fees are paid on arrival by card at the gate.

Is lunch included?

Lunch is not included, but we stop at a main camp where you can order meals, snacks, and drinks at your own cost.

Can children join the tour?

Yes, children are welcome. However, families with children under 7 years old must book a private vehicle for safety and comfort.
